| Dewane Hughes My sculpture “Swell” is the large scale manifestation of one of several maquettes that I created while at a residency in Iceland. During my time in Iceland, I was fortunate enough to drive the ring road, which circumnavigates the country. During this drive I was amazed at the diversity of the country’s other worldly geography contrasted with the architecture of the sparsely populated land. It is from this experience that I created a body of work which includes “Swell”. |
