| Nic Noblique Nothing In My Way Medium: Powder Coated Steel Dimensions: 77 x 45 x 41 Inches Created: Fall, 2012 This competition is of great interest to me and the opportunity to submit a proposal is an honor. Public sculpture is my passion and making a contribution to the cultural fabric of Dallas / Henderson Corridor as well as to the communities’ ongoing dialogue regarding public art, really excites me. My vision for Art on Henderson 2013 is a vibrant, fun, abstract work in steel and powder coated bubblegum pink. Why Pink? One of my signature colors, pink is youthful, exciting and modern. Pink is also a high-energy color and is widely regarded as the color of happiness. Pink stimulates energy, can increase blood pressure, respiration and pulse rate and gives the work an additional sense of action and motion (psychologically and physiologically). |
