| Pascale Pryor Migration 1 I am attracted to the pattern of the butterfly wing, its vibrant colors and its vulnerability. This monarc butterfly wing represents the drive and the faith required to migrate for any species, including my own (I am an alien). The sculpture produces a several feet long, beautiful bright colored shadow when the sun shines through it. It should be installed on or near a concrete or other smooth surface to take advantage of the shadows it creates. The wing is 7 feet tall, made of colored plexiglass sandwiched between 2 sheets of painted steel reinforced on its edges and base. |
